Minimally invasive surgery is used by neurosurgeons whenever these techniques can achieve comparable or better results compared to standard open surgical procedures. State-of-the-art, minimally invasive neuronavigation technology minimizes incisions and often allows surgeons to cosmetically hide scars. Various types of Minimally Invasive Surgeries are: Biopsy Brain biopsy is the procedure to remove abnormal tissues in the brain. The tissue cells can show what kind of brain lesion is present and whether it is cancerous or non-cancerous.  The purpose of brain biopsy is to diagnose an abnormality seen on an MRI or CT scan.
