15 Early Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy
A
time when one or more offspring develop in the womb of women, it is
called pregnancy. Other terms for pregnancy are gestation or Latin word
gravid that means heavy. To get pregnant women to need to go through
sexual intercourse or in recent times, assisted reproductive technology
can make it possible.
Starting
from the last menstrual period (LMP), it takes around 40 weeks or nine
months, typically for childbirth to occur. Women have the option of
either giving birth to a child or go for abortion by access to safe
abortion care. Unfortunately, there are also chances of miscarriage of
children in the womb for some reason.
There
is a division of three trimesters, each lasting for about three months
during the condition of pregnancy. During the first trimester, sperm
fertilizes the egg, so also referred to as a period of conception.
Then

fallopian tube to begin the formation of the placenta and embryo. Women
start feeling the movement of the fetus in the middle of the second
stage. On reaching 28 weeks, under high-quality medical care, over 90%
of babies can survive even if not inside the uterus.
According
to Wikipedia, in the year 2012, about 213 million pregnancies occurred,
from which 89%, i.e., 190 million, were in developing countries whereas
11%, i.e., 23 million, were in developed countries of the world.
Further,
it says from recognized pregnancies around 10% to 15% end in
miscarriage, unfortunately. Moreover, the global rate of unplanned
pregnancies is 44%, from which about 56% result in abortion.
