When Anukriti was born to Devendra and Beena Devi in the remote hilly area of Tehri Garhwal , local doctors told that the baby is born with a congenital deformity in which the lip and palate of the baby are cleft on both the sides and it will not be possible to treat such baby in their hospital and they will have to go to big cities and will have to spend for the procedure from their pocket. Both Devendra and Beena Devi were poor and hopeless, they kept on accumulating funds for their daughters but they knew that they will not be able to get the desired funds ever.
