Smile Train Story — Limsha | Amandeep Hospital

 

Limsha was born with a congenital deformity of cleft lip, she was operated in childhood and the matter of concern for her now was her nose as her nose was also deformed due to the deformity. Limsha was 17 now and was planning to go to the college next year and she was having an inferiority complex in her mind relating to her nose deformity. Limsha told her mother Rajrani that she would not join the college as she had a great complex regarding her nose deformity. 

Rajrani discussed this issue with her husband Surjit and they both decided to get it corrected but the arrangements of funds was a problem for them as they were from a poor family but they wanted that their daughter should join the college. One day suddenly Rajrani met her friend in a fair who told her about the smile train project and the free state of the art treatment under this project in many hospitals. She also told her about the Amandeep hospital in Amritsar where such surgeries are done under smile train project. Both the parents were excited and came to the hospital where every thing about the cleft care was explained to them and Rhinoplasty for Limsha was planned. 

After undergoing Rhinoplasty operation today was the third day and the dressing over the nose of Limsha was going to be opened. After the dressing removal Limsha asked her mother about the date of admission for the college as now she was confident that her nose is just like as she had always dreamed about it. Surjit was very happy and relaxed as now his daughter can complete her higher studies.
