Arthritis is a common cause of hip and knee pain. It can be

or vascular necrosis (lack of blood to the bone). Hip and knee replacement surgery is

precision, and there is no way that with the hand tools (a saw) that we
normally use we can achieve this,” said Dr. Avtar Singh. Head of the Department
of Orthopedics at Amandeep Hospital. “The robot provides me with the right kind
of information so that the surgery is as precise and accurate as possible.
Another added benefit is that it creates virtual boundaries on the bone surface.
This means that if I try to deviate from the plane intentionally or
unintentionally, the robot will not allow me to cut any other structure besides
the damaged bone, “he added.
Robotic knee replacement technology is known to
reduce blood loss, speed recovery, greatly improve knee function, and help the
